SRUSA is excited to announce that former NJCAA All American & Region 9 Defender of the Year Ryan Tyrer joins the teams as a Scout for SRUSA.
Ryan, originally from Liverpool, England spent 4 years in the US playing both high level NJCAA and NCAA DII, where he enjoyed a highly successful and decorated collegiate career. Ryan was one of the first international players to win Region 9 male athlete of the year during his time at Northwest College as well as being named as an All-American.
Ryan continues to play at a high-level on his return to the United Kingdom, and we are excited to bring Ryan on board due to his extensive experience and knowledge of the college system. His personal achievements across 4 years of College Soccer will not only make Ryan a valuable asset to the team but will also allow prospective players to learn from his experiences moving forward with their US journey.
We cant wait to see what the future holds within his new role. Here is what Ryan had to say about his new role at SRUSA:
What excites you about joining the SRUSA team?
I am excited to join the SRUSA team as I believe that it is a company with a great platform for young talent to succeed in the USA.
How was your experience in the US, and what advice would you give to others thinking of going down the College Soccer route?
Moving to the USA was the best decision of my life. Playing football while also getting a degree was perfect. I developed as a player and a person while being over there. For any people thinking about going I would definitely do it. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
How do you think your experience as a College Soccer Athlete will help you in your new role as a SRUSA Scout?
I believe that being in the USA and doing the whole process for 4 years will help me massively. When speaking to clients I can answer any of their questions as I have been in there situation and know what it all feels like.
What are your expectations upon joining the SRUSA team?
My expectations are to bring talented clients to the SRUSA team and move them on to good universities in America. I believe this will be a great stage in their career to showcase themselves abroad and I know they will enjoy the experience.
Welcome to the #SRUSAfamily Ryan.
